PC Help

We have just added personal computer (PC) assistance to our portfolio, which covers the following:

* PC Software training & tuition

Training: if you have a particular task that you want to achieve, but are unsure of how to do it, or you'd like to be able to do it more efficiently;
Tuition: general instruction on how to get the most out of a program that you use

* Help with software installation

Even with 'wizard-driven' installations of software to guide you through all the options, it can still be a daunting task to do a simple task such as installing programs. We can give you help with this;

* Help with software upgrades

It's easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer number of software upgrades that we get offered after. Are all the upgrades necessary? Will you get anything out of them? What if there are bugs in the upgrade, can I put back the old version? Help from us is only a phone call or e-mail away!

* Help with many other PC problems

Do you struggle with folders and subfolders? Do you sometimes download a file and then can't find it? DO you have any backup strategy in place to protect you in the event of a disk failure? Just contact us, and we'll happily help you!

We'll come out to your home or place of work, and explain what we're going to do in plain jargon-free English!

We will charge you a fixed fee for an hour of our time at £35.00 £25.00, and then after an hour you'll be charged per 15 minutes.

For any visit within 15 miles of our office, there won't be any charge for travel. If you're further away, there will be a £0.50 per mile charge for each mile over 15 miles.

Our terms are payment when we leave you, if the problem has been solved. We accept cheque or cash - sorry we don't take credit or debit cards at present.

Our guarantee of service

We can't promise to help with every problem that we're given, so in the unlikely event that this should happen, you won't be charged anything for our visit, which of course includes travel.

For full details, please see our Terms of Business (under Legals).

“After more than 25 years of tinkering, experimenting, sometimes breaking and then fixing software, I have built up quite a knowledge of how it works and what to do when things go wrong”
